In reply to your memo. dated 12th July, 1947, the
original date of acceptance expired on 31.12.46 and was extended on request. The request for a further extension was pe refused and the extension to 15th July, 1947, was the result of an inexplicable clerical error reluctantly accepted by Govern- ment when discovered.
2.
Government sees no reason why the error should be
aggravated by a further exteneion.

Any further correspondance on this subject should be addressed to the Hon. C.S. through this office.
